The way StartupAfrica is working in Africa
StartupAfrica assists and funds the buildup of social entreprises in African countries by offering loans and donations, by sharing know-how and by offering active marketing measures.
The net earnings of these social entreprises will be used to fund projects in favour of
the most vulnerable and impoverished part of the population, mainly the AIDS-Orphans.
There are many families in Zimbabwe and in other african countries who have lost there natural parents. Often grandmothers are in charge of theses families and need financial support for survival, nutrition and school-fees.
StartupAfrica heeds to the needs of the local population, their own capacity and the aptitudes of the regional professionals.
StartupAfrica furthers the employment of local devoted professionals and offers executive positions from onset. This in order to assure th Startup of real African ventures, not just the implementation of the ideas of foreign NGO's
Current projects of StartupAfrica
"StartupAfrica is embarking on what I believe is a first in Zimbabwe. More often than not, solutions have been tailored and recommended without particular heed to locals’ aptitude levels, need and capacity. As such stimulating development through social entreprise and economic self reliance presents itself as a refreshingly different initiative. Needs – Based communal targetting through such systems as Social Cash Transfer Schemes [SCTS], are an evidently more effective income redistribution approach, which ensure that the most vulnerable and impoverished, in society, benefit. In short I am very optimistic of both the current project and future ventures that StartupAfrica will undertake"
